Winnunga Nimmityjah AHCS provides an integrated client centric wrap around service, which focuses on the clinical, cultural and spiritual needs of Aboriginal clients, families and the community. Winnunga’s service model delivers a whole person, multidisciplinary approach – meaning the programs and services across Winnunga work together simultaneously to support a client. Winnunga delivers a comprehensive range of clinical services and programs which suit the needs of the local community.

Services offered include immunisations, health checks, chronic disease management, cervical screening, hearing tests, dental checks, and information and support about diet. We also offer a range of groups including the No More Boondah tobacco cessation program, women’s group, men’s group, elders’ group, pregnancy group, mums’ and bubs’ group, and healthy cooking classes.
Winnunga has a system in which any person can walk into the clinic at any time during opening hours and be seen by the next available doctor. Appointments are only required for a few services such as dental, physiotherapy and psychiatry. In addition, we are a bulk billing service – all services at Winnunga are free of charge for Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander clients.
Winnunga provides a transport service for people who are unable to arrange their own transport to and from health service appointments.
