The Gugan Gulwan Drop In program operates daily during centre hours, Monday to Thursday from 10am to 3pm.
The program is a soft entry point for young people who maybe experiencing exclusion due to behaviours of concern or other challenges. The program is responsive to community needs and is a safe space for young people to gather with immediate support available to and for them.
The Drop In program welcomes all young people to the Centre.
Drop In support includes:
Engage and support young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth
Drug and Alcohol information sessions in an informal, non-threatening environment
Provide nutritional information and healthy meals
Promote healthy lifestyles and decision making
Harm minimisation strategies and information
Mental health information and support
Education information, support and advocacy
Referral and linkages
Encourage and promote cultural practices and understanding
Social/community inclusion
Provide a culturally sensitive safe space for young people
