Canberra PCYC are a non-profit organisation supporting our community since 1957. Our Erindale fitness centre offers a suite of exciting and fun programs beginning with our Tot Tumbling, Boxing, Wrestling, Parkour, Rockwall, Dance, Gym Fitness and a range of Martial Arts programs and much more!
We are committed to ensuring that young people and their families build positive futures. Our evidence-based programs utilise hands-on, high adrenaline activities, education and vocational skills, and social skills training to divert young people from the justice system.
Our programs are co-designed with young people and their families to ensure that targeted outcomes meet the needs of individuals.
Programs:
Project 180 Project 180 is a diversion program established for high-needs young people in the ACT aged 12.5-16 years.
Project Level Up Project Level-Up utilises high adrenaline, positive, safe risk taking activities as a platform for engaging disengaged and vulnerable young people in a positive mentoring environment.
Case Management Our Case Management is part of the ACT community Services Directorate's Child Youth and Family Support Program.
Parenting Program Parenting teenages can be a cahllenging experience for all involved. We believe that evidence-based, effective communication strategies can assist in maintianing a holistic family environment.
Anger Management Participants are placed in groups appropriate to their age and maturity level. Canberra PCYC facilitates the 'Face Your Anger' program for participants from across the ACT, at convenient Northside and Southside locations.
Choose Respect Choose Respect is a 9 week course on respectful relationships, targeting young people aged 12-25 years who are exhibiting poor attitudes towards women and/or may have been exposed to, or responsible for, domestic or family violence.
ProjectBooyah Project Booyah is an established 20-week early-intervention program for disadvantaged young people developed by the Queensland Police Service (QPS).
Touch Footy Comp Canberra PCYC & Hands Across Canberra are running a touch football game in conjunction with the ACT Touch Football Winter mixed Competetion.
