Jemima is a registered Professional Arts Therapist (ANZACATA) in private practice in Canberra. Jemima specialises in working with young people who need support with their confidence, improving their relationships, their ability to self-express, understand themselves, to heal and live happier and healthier lives.
Jemima uses creative techniques, embodiment practices, and nature-based therapy to engage and support her clients. She has a very gentle and flexible approach and a proven capacity to work with clients who tend to struggle to engage in therapy. Jemima is non-judgmental, empathic and uses her intuitive sensing to journey with you. She has been in private practice as a registered Professional Arts Therapist for four years now and has completed a Masters in Therapeutic Arts Practice (MIECAT) and a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Sociology.
Jemima has 20 years' experience working with vulnerable young people and families in the context of out of home care, disability and mental health, behaviour management and community development. Most importantly, she has personal lived experience of mental health struggles, addiction and trauma and is the am the mumma bear to a baby boy and a vivacious 22-year-old woman.
Jemima works with both private and NDIS clients from ages 15+.
