Jemima is a registered Professional Arts Therapist (ANZACATA) in private practice in Canberra. Jemima works with people of all ages starting with children around five years of age.
Her work with children and teens includes supporting them to build social skills, find adaptive strategies to work with their anxiety and depression and to develop their confidence and self-esteem.
Jemima has a Masters in Arts Therapy (The MIECAT Institute Inc.), a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology (ANU) and training in trauma, attachment and the strength-based approach.
Jemima has a very gentle style that she brings to her approach in therapy. Creating safety is of prime importance and essential in her therapeutic work as is unconditional positive regard and empowering her clients to find their own meaning in their art work.
Jemima has a background in social work and has 15 years’ experience working with vulnerable people in the community sector. Jemima is passionate about seeing people grow and about empowering others to live life on their terms, happy and healthy.
Jemima can work with clients privately or those with NDIS plans. Jemima has capacity to take new referrals. Email for more information or to refer.
