Who is eligible?
Any woman who is over the age of 18 and is impacted by their own alcohol and other drug (AOD) use. Women who are already in another Toora AOD program will get priority.
Cost
Counselling service packages of up to 12 weeks are free of charge. Further appointments are negotiated based on the needs of our clients.
Referral process
Through Self-referral. Please contact (02) 6241 7233 and one of our workers will undertake a confidential initial assessment of your situation to determine your suitability.
Flexible appointments
Toora’s Counselling Service employs experienced, professionally trained counsellors who are registered with an approved Australian counselling body. Counselling sessions are held in Civic ACT in a safe, supportive and welcoming setting. We offer flexible appointment times and outreach visits can be arranged on a case to case basis. Individual counselling sessions are offered in four, eight and 12-week packages at 60 minutes per session.
The Counselling Service also offers group sessions currently known as the Healing from Trauma Group. Please see attached brochure for details on this Group.
Cancellations
We require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations to ensure you receive your full treatment package. If notice is not given, then that session will be deducted from your agreed number of sessions.
