The Tuggeranong Walk-in Centre is located on the corner on Pitman Street, between the Tuggeranong Interchange and the Tuggeranong College and Library.
The Tuggeranong Walk-in Centre is a white and grey, two-storey building with a red tiled wall and ramp. The building is on the corner of the Pitman and Cowlishaw Streets car park and faces another carpark on Pitman Street.
No appointment needed.
Open every day of the year (including public holidays).
Walk-in Centres provide free advice and treatment for various minor injuries such as:
- common illnesses, like cold and flu
- cuts, bruises, abrasions and burns
- strains and sprains
- skin conditions and rashes
- sinus infections (sinusitis) and tonsillitis
- ear infections – middle and outer (swimmer’s ear)
- mild gastroenteritis
- minor infections and wounds
- urinary tract infections
- scabies
- mastitis
- conjunctivitis
- minor limb fractures
- impetigo (school sores)
- dental abscess
- removal of stitches and staples
- wound dressings
- tetanus injections
- x-ray referral as indicated for injuries below the knee and shoulder
- plastering/splinting for simple limb injuries
- emergency contraception
- ear wax removal
- chlamydia screening
- nail bed injuries
- blood glucose test
- sick and carers certificates (not medical certificates)
