Self Sourced accommodation options are provided with a range of support by the program.
Housing status: Potential applicants must not be residing with immediate family. Potential applicants must be residing in a self-sourced “couch surfing” option where there is potential for permanency if additional supports are provided (eg. “host allowance” vouchers, caravan”).
Education: Potential applicants must be engaged in full time education/training/training related employment(traineeship/apprenticeship).
Income: No Minimum Income requirement, however if young person is in receipt of Youth Allowance and/ or wages they will be required to contribute to the host household.
Support needs: Medium-Low. Potential applicants with additional support requirements are encouraged to engage with other services where required if they wish to be considered for vacancies. For example, family support services, mental health support services, Youth Housing Support Service, Take Hold etc.
